I am stubborn about physical media. My CD collection is somewhere north of 800 discs and I still play it through a proper Marantz player most evenings. The problem with collecting that many CDs is finding somewhere to actually store them that does not look like a thrift store back room.

Cheap binders with foam sleeves can scratch over time. Buy archival quality polypropylene sleeves and you are fine for decades.
