Why you should trust this review

I have reviewed home theater hardware for 10 years, with prior bylines at CNET and Wirecutter. We purchased the Sanus VuePoint at retail through Amazon in late November 2025. Sanus did not provide a sample. Across 5 months I have had it holding a 55-inch LG C3 OLED (42 lb panel) on a 16-inch stud-spaced wall in our primary test space.

How we tested the Sanus VuePoint

Our TV mount protocol is a minimum of 90 days. For the VuePoint we ran 154 days.

  • Initial install, time to complete solo on a 16-inch stud-spaced wall.
  • Load test, 42 lb TV mounted, monitored for sag at 1, 3, and 5 months.
  • Articulation, full 18-inch extension and 57-degree swivel performed weekly.
  • Cable routing, tested with HDMI, power, and a soundbar feed.

Install: the easiest solo job in the category

The 1-piece arm clips onto the wall plate without a helper. Built-in bubble level. Sanusโ€™s hardware bag groups screws by size, which sounds minor until you compare it to the no-name mounts where every screw is loose in one bag. We finished a solo install in 32 minutes including unboxing.

Articulation: 18 inches is fine for most rooms

18 inches of extension covers a centered wall install with normal seating. For wide swivel installs you want the Echogearโ€™s 130-degree swivel rather than the Sanusโ€™s 57. Tilt action is smooth out of the box and stayed smooth across 5 months.

Bottom line

For a 16-inch stud install of a 32-to-65 inch TV, the Sanus VuePoint is the cleanest budget pick. If you need 24-inch studs or deeper extension, choose the Echogear instead.

โ˜… FINAL VERDICT

Should you buy the Sanus VuePoint Full Motion TV Wall Mount 32-75 inch?

The Sanus VuePoint is the easiest budget articulating mount we have installed solo. The 1-piece arm clips onto the wall plate in seconds, the bubble level is built into the plate, and Sanus's hardware bagging is the cleanest in the category. After 5 months with a 55-inch LG C3 OLED (42 lb panel), no sag was detected. You give up 4 inches of extension to the Echogear Full Motion, and the stud plate is 16-inch only. For straightforward 16-inch stud installs in the 32-to-65 inch range, the VuePoint is a clean $79 solution.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Sanus VuePoint worth $79 in 2026?+

Yes for 16-inch stud installs of 32-to-65 inch TVs. The install is the easiest we have done solo and the finish quality is a step above other budget mounts. If you have 24-inch studs or want more extension, the [Echogear Full Motion](/reviews/echogear-full-motion-tv-mount) is a better fit for $10 more.

Sanus VuePoint vs Echogear Full Motion: which is better?+

The Echogear has more extension (22 vs 18 inches), higher load (125 vs 110 lb), and 24-inch stud compatibility. The Sanus is easier to install solo, has a cleaner finish, and ships with a better-organized hardware kit. For straightforward 16-inch installs, the Sanus is the simpler call.

Can the VuePoint hold a 75-inch TV?+

Up to 110 lb, yes. Most 75-inch LED TVs in 2026 weigh 60 to 75 lb so they fit comfortably. Heavier 75-inch QLED and MiniLED panels can hit 95 lb, still within rating but at that weight we prefer the 125 lb Echogear for headroom.

Does the bubble level actually help?+

Yes. Sanus integrates it into the wall plate so you level the plate before drilling. We checked it against a precision level and it was accurate to within 0.5 degrees, which is plenty for a wall plate.
