The bottom line The Sony Alpha 6700 APS-C Mirrorless Camera Body is the flagship Sony APS-C with a dedicated AI processing unit at $1399 body-only. The 26MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor inherits noise performance from the FX30 cinema camera, the dedicated AI chip drives real-time recognition of humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains, and airplanes without firmware updates, the 759 phase-detection points cover 93 percent of the frame for stickier eye tracking than the A6600 generation, the 5-axis in-body stabilization rates 5 stops for handheld video, the 4K 120p (1.58x crop) and 4K 60p oversampled from 6K give serious video output, the fully articulating screen finally arrives on the APS-C line, and the LA-EA5 adapter compatibility opens A-mount glass. The trade is the single SD UHS-II card slot and a 4K 60p mode that requires a crop most shooters do not expect.

Yes for hybrid shooters using existing Sony E-mount glass. The AI autofocus and IBIS justify the price over the older A6600 if you shoot moving subjects.
