Why this purifier earns the design pick slot
The Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 is the dual-function device that bridges the gap between purifier and fan. Eleven months of daily use in our 360 square foot home office have logged about 7,700 hours of runtime across nine months of cool-weather purifier duty and three summer months of dual purifier and fan duty. The bladeless fan function is the differentiator, the TP07 replaces a separate pedestal fan during summer, which changes the total cost calculation from a straight purifier comparison.
I purchased the TP07 at retail in June 2025. Dyson did not provide a sample. The unit ran in Auto mode for purifier duty and Fan mode (cooling) during the June through August summer stretch in our test office.
What we tested across 11 months
Our dual-function protocol covers both purifier and fan performance plus the practical question of whether a single device handles both jobs. We tested initial CADR (PM2.5 reduction from 150 to 12 micrograms in a sealed 360 square foot room), sustained filtration baseline, fan function airflow at distance, MyDyson app reliability, Alexa and Siri Shortcuts integration, noise at 1 meter on each fan speed, and filter cost across the full HEPA H13 cycle.
Purifier performance and the CADR honesty
In our controlled smoke test, the TP07 reduced PM2.5 from 150 to 12 micrograms per cubic meter in 27 minutes on max speed in our 360 square foot office. That is slower than the Levoit Core 600S (14 minutes) and the Coway Airmega 400 (19 minutes). Dyson does not publish an AHAM CADR rating, our estimated equivalent based on cleanup time is about 240 for smoke, which lands between the Coway 200M (246) and the Levoit 600S (410).
The sealed HEPA H13 design is the legitimate filtration story. Dyson seals the filter to the chassis so air cannot bypass the media, which is meaningfully better than the partial seals on most rivals. The trade-off is the airflow rate is limited by the sealed design, which is why CADR comes in lower than rivals with looser tolerances.
Fan function and the summer use case
The bladeless fan function is the feature that earns the TP07 its slot. Across three summer months in our office, the TP07 delivered useful cooling airflow at distances up to 6 feet. The oscillation range up to 350 degrees spreads airflow across a wide area, which is the practical advantage over a pedestal fan. The fan function works independently of the purifier function, you can set the fan to high without engaging the purifier, which is the right design choice for warm rooms with low particulate.
Display, app, and sensor suite
The MyDyson app is the most polished smart purifier app in our test pool. The dashboard shows real-time PM2.5, PM10, VOC, NO2, temperature, and humidity with 30 day history. The display on the unit itself shows the same data in a compact circular layout, which is useful for at-a-glance reads without picking up the phone.
The sensor suite is genuinely the most comprehensive in our test pool. PM2.5 and PM10 are standard, the VOC and NO2 sensors are the differentiators. VOC accuracy is approximate (no consumer purifier has true VOC chromatography), but the trend data is useful for tracking household chemical events (paint, cleaning products, cooking with high-heat oils).
Noise and the bedroom test
We measured 29 dB on low, 35 dB on medium, 48 dB on medium high, and 56 dB on max at 1 meter using a Reed R8050 SPL meter. Low is quiet enough for most bedrooms, slightly louder than the Coway 200M (24 dB) and the Levoit 600S (24 dB) at low setting. The bladeless fan design at low fan speed is the quietest of any cooling fan we have tested at the same air volume.
Filter cost and the running math
The combined HEPA H13 plus carbon module is sold as a single replacement at $80 to $90 with 12 month rated life. Our indicator triggered at month 10 of continuous use. Annual filter cost lands at $90 per year. That is more than the Levoit Core 600S ($80) and the Coway 200M ($60) but less than the Coway Airmega 400 ($130).
Value
At $549 the Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 is the right Home & Kitchen in 2026.

Should you buy the Dyson Purifier Cool TP07?
The Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 is the dual-function purifier and bladeless fan that earns its slot for buyers who want one device that handles both jobs. Nine months as a purifier and three summer months as a cooling fan in our 360 square foot home office. Purifier CADR of 240 is lower than the Levoit Core 600S at half the price, but the bladeless fan function and the polished MyDyson app deliver a design and ergonomics win. At $549 it costs $250 more than the Levoit, the question is whether the fan function is worth it.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 worth $549 in 2026?+
Yes if you want a single device that handles both purifier and fan duties, and you value the MyDyson app polish. No if you only need a purifier, the Levoit Core 600S delivers higher CADR (410 vs 240) at $299, which is 45 percent less. The TP07 is a design pick and a fan pick, not a pure purifier pick.
Dyson TP07 vs Levoit Core 600S: which?+
Pick the Dyson TP07 for the bladeless fan function, the polished MyDyson app, and the comprehensive sensor suite (PM2.5, PM10, VOC, NO2). Pick the Levoit Core 600S for raw purifier CADR per dollar, faster cleanup time, and lower filter cost. If you need a fan separately during summer, the Levoit plus a fan costs less than the TP07 alone.
How well does the fan function actually cool?+
It moves air, which is what a fan does, it does not cool the air. The bladeless design delivers a smooth column of air that feels pleasant in a home office or bedroom. We used the TP07 as a summer fan in our 360 square foot office across three months and it replaced our pedestal fan effectively. The oscillation range up to 350 degrees is genuinely useful for spreading airflow.
How much do the filters cost per year?+
Around $90 per year for the combined HEPA H13 plus activated carbon module. Dyson sells the filter as a single unit at $80 to $90 with 12 month rated life at 12 hours per day. Our indicator triggered at month 10 of continuous use which is honest within tolerance.
Does the MyDyson app work well?+
Yes, it is the most polished smart purifier app in our test pool. Pairing was straightforward, the dashboard shows real-time PM2.5, PM10, VOC, NO2, temperature, and humidity, and the history tracking extends back 30 days with detailed segmentation. Alexa and Siri Shortcuts integration work without errors.
