Why you should trust this review
I have been reviewing strollers for 7 years and running with two of my own kids in joggers for 5 years across road and trail, and I bought the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 at retail in August 2025. BOB Gear did not provide a sample. Across 9 months I have logged 280 km of running and approximately 600 km of walking with a 14 kg toddler. The stroller has been on gravel, grass, hardpack trail, and daily city sidewalks.
I tested the BOB directly against a Thule Urban Glide 3, a Baby Jogger Summit X3, and a Graco FastAction Jogger over matched routes. Methodology is on our methodology page.
How we tested the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0
- Roll quality. 5 km marked test route on gravel, sidewalk, and grass, scored for vibration and steering effort.
- Fold time. 50 trials of fold and unfold, stopwatch averaged.
- Suspension. Loaded to 14 kg child weight, accelerometer reading on the seat across a known washboard section.
- Bearing wear. Front swivel wheel disassembled and inspected at month 4 and month 9.
- Harness. 9 point harness fit checked at month 1, 4, and 9 on a growing toddler.
Who should buy the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0?
Buy this stroller if:
- You run weekly with your child and need real running performance.
- You walk on gravel, grass, or rougher terrain regularly.
- You have a toddler over 11 kg and want suspension that handles the load.
- You want one stroller that works for jogging and daily walks.
Skip if:
- You only walk on smooth city sidewalks. A lighter compact stroller is better.
- You drive a small hatchback. The folded size is large.
- Your child is under 6 months. You will need an infant car seat adapter.
Roll quality: where this stroller earns its name
The 16 inch air filled rear tires and 12.5 inch front swivel wheel deliver the smoothest ride in our test pile. On a 5 km gravel route the BOB recorded the lowest accelerometer reading on the seat, meaningfully smoother than the Baby Jogger Summit X3 and dramatically smoother than the Graco. With the front wheel locked the stroller tracks straight at running pace without correction.
Suspension and seat
The two position rear suspension is what makes the BOB usable across walking and running. We use the stiffer setting for runs to feel the ground and the softer setting for naps. The seat reclines to near flat with a separate harness retention strap that prevents pinch points.
Storage and accessories
The under seat basket holds 4.5 kg and we have stuffed it with diaper bags, water bottles, and groceries. The canopy extends with a peek a boo window that has a magnetic closure (silent for sleeping). Pair the BOB with a Britax Boulevard ClickTight once your child outgrows the infant car seat phase.
Fold and weight
The two step fold takes 6 seconds with practice and the folded dimensions are 75 x 60 x 33 cm. At 12.6 kg the stroller is heavier than the Thule Urban Glide 3 by 1.6 kg. Lifting into a midsize sedan trunk is manageable. Lifting into a small hatchback requires care.
Long term durability
After 9 months the front swivel wheel bearing has been cleaned twice. Each cleaning takes about 5 minutes and the BOB ships a small tool kit for this. Otherwise the frame, fabric, and wheels show no degradation.

Should you buy the BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 Jogging Stroller?
The BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 is the most capable jogging stroller we have tested, and it works as a daily driver too. After 9 months our test unit has logged 280 km of running and 600 km of walking with a 14 kg toddler. The 16 inch air tires roll over curbs and gravel without losing momentum, the swivel front wheel locks for runs, and the fold is 23 percent smaller than the previous generation.
Frequently asked questions
Is the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 worth $549 in 2026?+
Yes if you run with the stroller weekly. After 9 months we found the 16 inch air tires and adjustable suspension are what separate it from cheaper jogging strollers. For walking only the savings on a non-jogging stroller are real.
BOB Revolution vs Thule Urban Glide 3?+
Thule for the lightest body and tightest fold. BOB for the smoothest ride on rough terrain and a slightly cheaper price. We chose BOB for trail running and Thule for cleaner city sidewalks.
Can I use the BOB with a newborn?+
Only with an infant car seat adapter or with the BOB-specific bassinet attachment. The seat itself reclines to nearly flat but is not recommended for newborns under 8 weeks for jogging use.
How does the BOB fold?+
Two step fold. Pull the strap on the seat back, then the handle on the frame. After 9 months of practice we average 6 seconds for the fold and 4 seconds for unfold. Folded dimensions are 75 x 60 x 33 cm, which fits a midsize sedan trunk diagonally.
Does the BOB have rear suspension?+
Yes, with two settings adjusted by a knob on each side of the rear axle. We run with the stiffer setting for better roll feedback and walk with the softer setting for our toddler's nap comfort.
