The Tracksmith Harrier has been my running tee for five months. I bought one in heather gray at retail in mid-November 2025 to replace a Nike Dri-FIT that had developed permanent armpit odor. Five months later, the Harrier has logged approximately 60 runs in temperatures from 35 to 75 degrees, has been through 25 wash cycles, and still emerges from the laundry odor-free. That last point is the headline. Every other technical running tee I have owned eventually developed bacterial odor that survived wash cycles. The Harrier has not.
Why you should trust this review
I bought this tee at retail. I have rotated running tees from Nike, Lululemon, Janji, Brooks, and Tracksmith over the past six years and have written long-term reviews on the Janji Runpaca for this site. See our methodology page.
How we tested the Harrier
- 5 months of running use from mid-November 2025 through early May 2026
- 60 plus runs in temperatures from 35 to 75 degrees
- 25 wash cycles in cold water with mild detergent
- Used for both interval workouts and steady-state long runs
- Side-by-side comparison with Janji Runpaca and Lululemon Metal Vent Tech
- Dry-time tracked after sweat-saturated workouts
Who should buy the Harrier
Buy if you run 4+ times per week and want a workhorse tee for everything from interval workouts to race day. Buy if you have struggled with odor in synthetic tees. Skip if you cross-train more than you run; a Lululemon Metal Vent Tech may suit better for gym work. Skip if you primarily run in cold weather where merino base layers serve better than mesh polyester.
Fabric and breathability
The Italian polyester mesh weave is the headline. The fabric is genuinely open at roughly 4 oz per square yard, which lets air pass through during high-output runs. On a 75 degree run with 70% humidity, the Harrier kept me cooler than a heavier Brooks Distance tee in the same conditions. The trade-off is that the mesh is prone to snagging on rough Velcro or trail brush, so wear it on roads and tracks rather than dense brush.
Sweat and dry performance
After a sweat-soaked 8-mile run, the Harrier dripped briefly when removed but reached a wearable level of dryness in approximately 20 minutes hanging in shade. Compared to a standard polyester tee that took 40+ minutes to reach the same state, the Harrierโs dry time is notably faster.
Odor resistance
This is where the Harrier earns its premium price. After 25 wash cycles, the tee emerges fully odor-free from the dryer. By contrast, Nike Dri-FIT tees in my closet developed armpit odor that survived multiple washes after roughly 15 to 20 wear cycles. Tracksmith does not advertise a special antimicrobial treatment, but the result is real.
Fit and cut
The Athletic cut fits close to the body. A 42 inch chest fits Medium with no binding through the shoulders. Sleeves run mid-bicep. Body length is slightly long, which prevents ride-up during arm-swing. Broad-chested runners should size up to Large.
Build quality
After 25 washes, the seams remain tight, no thread pulls, and the collar holds shape. The mesh weave has light pilling at the underarms but no holes.
Verdict
The Harrier is the right premium running tee for serious runners. For more options, see menโs t-shirt reviews.

Should you buy the Tracksmith Harrier Tee?
The Tracksmith Harrier is the running tee I now wear for every interval workout. The Italian polyester mesh fabric runs cool, dries fast, and refuses to hold post-run odor the way many synthetic tees do. The athletic fit cuts close to the body without binding. Pricing at 68 dollars is firm and the white version shows sweat outlines, but for serious runners willing to invest in a workhorse tee, the Harrier is the standard.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Tracksmith Harrier worth $68 in 2026?+
For serious runners who train 4+ times a week, yes. The fabric, fit, and odor performance match the price. Casual runners can find similar performance at Janji's 48 dollar Runpaca.
Harrier vs Lululemon Metal Vent Tech, which should I pick?+
Pick the Harrier for breathability in hot, humid conditions and for Tracksmith's running-specific cut. Pick the Metal Vent Tech if you cross-train and want a more versatile gym tee.
How does the Harrier dry after a soaked run?+
Mine has gone from saturated to wearable in about 20 minutes hanging in 70 degree shade. Fully dry in 35 to 40 minutes.
Does the Harrier hold odor after sweat?+
Less than typical polyester. After a wash, mine consistently emerges odor-free. The mesh structure helps the fabric release residual sweat compounds.
